Course ID ASM20
This course enables students to create media art works by exploring new media, emerging technologies such as digital animation, and a variety of traditional art forms such as film, photography, video, and visual arts. Students will acquire communications skills that are transferable beyond the media arts classroom and develop an understanding of responsible practices related to the creative process. Students will develop the skills necessary to create and interpret media art works.

Stop motion (20 hrs)review what animation is be introduced to different types of animation and its history apply one design principle to a studio design task study and create one stop motion animation in a basic level recognize famous stop motions animation artists and the main reason of their success

Character design (20 hours)study the history of comic books and character design compare how the human body was portrayed in the ancient cultures create a character and story board based on their own story line recognize key works different famous comic books artists and their success

Video Basics (20 hours)Learn the history of video art and its difference with movie making Observe a demonstration on how to work with camera Design and create their own functional short video with its story line Try to edit the video based on the narration and composition of the frames
