This course enables students to develop their skills in producing and presenting art by introducing them to new ideas, materials, and processes for artistic exploration and experimentation. Students will apply the elements and principles of design when exploring the creative process. Students will use the critical analysis process to reflect on and interpret art within a personal, contemporary, and historical context.

  • Unit 1: Elements and Principles (20 hrs)
    Student will learn about the Elements and principles if arts They explore creating their own examples They will see the examples in art history and learn how to recognize it They will learn how these tools affect the famous art pieces
  • Unit 2: Shading and detail of the portraiture (25 hrs)
    Student will learn about light and its importance in visual arts They will learn the technique to do Shading They will explore they own facial expression in their own face and how to draw the details of a portraiture
  • Unit 3: Complementary color painting (20 hrs)
    Students will learn the basic of color wheel They will learn how to create tonal values with a hue Will create a Complementary color painting
  • Unit 4 : Print making (15 hrs)
    Introduction to methods and techniques of Printmaking Explore to create their own print and engraving or monotype Intaglio would be their main project as a linocut
  • Unit 5: Sculpting (30 hrs)
    Sculpting and making a three D object Its difference with two dimensional, classical and contemporary sculpting Explore making their own 3d object with recycles
